Class Overview:
Have you ever been talking to someone or giving a presentation and didn't have a clue as to how it was going over? Have you ever wanted to make a good impression only to discover nothing you're doing is working the way you want? Have you ever been negotiating a deal and discovered you were completely mistaken about what the customer or supplier wanted or was giving you? Have you ever wondered how to get through to some people?
And what about your online efforts? You create great downloads, marketing materials and websites and nothing happens. How come?
Here's where you find out. This half day class provides insights and a basic understanding of how people communicate in person as well as through electronic mediums. Most importantly, students learn the basics of making sure they're understood in person and in their online efforts. The class contains discussion, examples of situations and fun exercises. Participants will be encouraged to participate in these discussions and class activities.
Class participants learn about:
- Getting and keeping someone's attention in person
- Getting and keeping someone's attention with online material
- How to Encourage Online Visitors to Take Desired Action
- Setting, keeping and meeting group goals
- Setting, keeping and meeting personal goals
Class Requirements:
- Time - The class is a half day in length from noon to 5pm with a one hour break for lunch. Time is available at the end of the class for private discussions if desired and at the discretion of the instructors.
- Location - This class is conducted at the FIT campus. Cell phones, pagers, etc., must be turned off during the class.
- Class Size - 10-30 students, 10 students minimum
- Certification - This class is given without grading of any kind, including Pass/Fail. While this class is a prerequisite to further NextStage classes, participants will be given a Certification of Training (time in class) only, not a certification of ability.
- Class Materials - NextStage provides the class materials for all of its classes, seminars and trainings. These materials include notebooks and handouts.
