NextStage Training:
Audience Knowledgeable Design

Training Overview:
Ever come up with what you think is a brilliant marketing design only to have the rest of your group wonder what you've been smoking? In this training you'll realize why things that seem great to one person may not work for the audience that you're designing for and why audiences don't always grab the bait you've thrown them.

NextStage's Audience Knowledgeable Design class is not your typical Design class - No traditional design elements are discussed or talked about unless students wish to discuss them.

Audience Knowledgeable Design is about

  1. learning and mastering your own internal design process
  2. then using that understanding to modify your process at will
  3. to create killer designs for yourself, your clients and your client's audiences
This two day training provides the participants with the tools to
  • Recognize when to use traditional versus non-traditional design processes
  • Recognize their own design process and how and when it works best
  • Be creative on demand
  • Listen to their clients thoughts and ideas effectively
  • recognize their client's audience even when the client can't
  • Break down the design process into it's basic parts - internal and external - and how to make those basic parts work together to create award winning, business driving designs and concepts
The class contains discussion, examples and exercises. Participants are encouraged to participate in these discussions and class activities at their own pace and interest.

In this two day training participants learn how to:

  • Know their client
  • Know their client's audience
  • Design for the client's audience
  • Explain their design process and defend their design decisions
  • Recognize what clients are prepared to do
  • Recognize what clients won't do
  • Understand and work with client motivations and goals
  • Help clients come up with working strategies for achieving their goals
